Upgrading the Area
In collaboration with AG City, the Borough of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf is developing a new lighting design for Berlin’s western downtown sub-district of “City West.”
In this context, Neues Kranzler Eck benefits more than other buildings from the new illumination of the railway bridge across Kantstrasse. The artists working with Hans Peter Kuhn of ARUP chose an intentionally subtle and minimalist lighting design for the purpose. The shifting warm white light sets itself apart from the brightly coloured signage and media facades all around it, creating a serene and subdued ambience.
